@alphafox@pwuranium So in this fine dining example, I would expect the server to be extremely knowledgeable, and go above and beyond the basic ‘bring food and be done with it’ and that’s where the appropriate tip would come in.
@alphafox@pwuranium Unfortunately, the way the structure is setup; servers are forced to ‘tip out’ their help, which includes back servers, food runners, bartenders, and sometimes even cooks. That tip out is based on a percentage of food sales, so in this example the server lost money, literally.
