@HultgrenBrandon@sentdefender I don't understand the hate about this. If you're born here you're an American. I don't care where someone came from. Imagine if we had this sentiment during the large waves of German or Irish immigration. You probably wouldn't be a citizen.
@JillianMichaels Our own intelligence agencies had determined they weren't developing a nuclear weapon. This level of idiocy is why women shouldn't be allowed to vote.
@ayrossi@mario_thayer@Illyischilly@VLS_Appreciator How is it all the eggs in one basket? They simply provide much greater VLS numbers. It's not a replacement for the rest of the fleet more a compliment.
@mario_thayer@Illyischilly@VLS_Appreciator Eh we'd be better off with the arsenal ship concept. The Trump class seems like it's trying to be a Jack of all trades when we really just need more vls capability
@Evil13rt@EpochsOfEngines@NavalInstitute Also this ship won't be operating alone. The supporting battle group will be resupplying frequently as well. It being nuclear doesn't really change the necessity of resupply. Only makes it more expensive to operate and produce.
@Evil13rt@EpochsOfEngines@NavalInstitute I understand what your saying, I think you're just underestimating how much resupply will be needed for this type of ship even if its nuclear. Yes you don't need fuel for the ship, but they'll still be taking on munitions and fuel for helos quite frequently.
@Evil13rt@EpochsOfEngines@NavalInstitute A front line offensive ship is going to be using munitions. No matter what it will be resupplying often in a wartime scenario.
@Evil13rt@EpochsOfEngines@NavalInstitute In a wartime scenario you still have resupply. The missiles and rounds don't replenish themselves regardless of the propulsion system.
