This so inaccurate at so many levels, and misleading, arousals during sleep do not occur because cortisol increases, He makes it sound like the elevation of cortisol causes the arousal! Wrong
Arousals occur for a multitude of causes! First learn how to read and interpret a polysomnograph (sleep study); and if there’s significant sympathetic discharge during the arousal then the cortisol may rise, not the other way around, this what happens when people with not enough knowledge go on social media to clickbait
