Every time someone says “let’s rewrite it”, I ask which business rules we can actually name. The dangerous ones are often buried in support workarounds, not the code. I’d map those and the release path before replacing anything.
A timeout doesn't always mean nothing happened. If an AI agent can change a business record, the retry path matters as much as the happy path. I wrote down four checks I'd make before giving it that access. https://t.co/QJ24DOwFwF
I wouldn't give an AI agent write access to production just because a demo looked good. Start with one narrow action, show the proposed change, keep a human approval point and a way back. Then measure whether that approval is still catching real mistakes.
@ayushdoesdev I'd give it one invariant and one injected failure: 'Payment succeeds, our DB write times out, then the webhook retries. Show the resulting state and write a test that fails before the fix.' The failing test is the gate, not the model's explanation.
@AccountantMurph The Stripe + bank reconciliation line is where this gets real. I'd give failed matches a visible owner and next action; otherwise the happy path looks great while someone is still chasing payments in a spreadsheet.
@thsottiaux Reset please...0% from yesterday on both 200 and 100 accounts all burned sunday - something was wrong there thousands say this and evevybody ignore it :(
@OpenAIDevs Ramen — Reset please I am at 0% in less then 20 hours - for 200 plan - what was happening we are thousands tsayimg for the weekend about this problem - no Astra used !!!!!!
When a user reports a problem, the useful part isn't collecting the ticket. It's closing the loop.
For B2B software I want three things visible: an owner, a decision, and a reply to the person affected. Even “not now” is actionable if the reason is clear.
@AnthonyHigman The approval step only helps if it shows the exact change: budget, targeting, landing page, and a way to roll it back. Otherwise you're approving a black box. I'd want a read-only mode first.
A senior contractor helps when one technical decision is blocking everything else. A full team helps when the work can move in parallel and someone owns the boundaries. Before buying more capacity, I'd pin down the bottleneck.
@thsottiaux Really - it needs an investigation - there are thousands of other people complaining yesterday about this - can you ask them to check at least the problem ? @thsottiaux
@thsottiaux $200 plan. Under 20 hours. Entire Codex allowance gone.
Tibo, WTF happened yesterday? This usage burn rate makes no sense. Please ask the tech team to investigate the usage accounting.
Is this a bug or the new normal? We need answers. 🙏
