Being a #FLO often means that dreaded knock at the door & this time of year it’s always harder.
Adults thinking it’s relatives, children thinking it’s Santa 🎅🏻
You knock knowing that what you’re going to tell them will change their lives forever 🚔

Impactful account from the mother of Lillie Clack.

Driver thought this was ok and fully secure. Well it isn't, cant just rely on the chains in this situation. vehicle prohibited PG9 until another truck arrived, and driver fined.
#CVU#Saferroads. At least he had dust sheets on 🤷♂️
@Areacarcaptain You are probably right on both accounts, but I love response policing and dipping in and out now and again is a good refresher. I had good operators on both days who were keen and a credit to the job.
Last 2 nights have seen me working back on team again doing response policing.
Last night we dealt with a person experiencing mental ill health with @Ldn_Ambulance.
With good team work we were able to get the person to a hospital to be seen by professionals #TeamGreenAndBlue
As someone who has a specialist posting in traffic you can be quite removed from the realities of everyday response policing.
3 days this week I’ve worked on ‘team’ on a BCU.
So much demand, but the teams worked hard from start to finish. I’ve a new found respect for them.
