I’m truly humbled to have been selected as the AAEM/RSA Northeast Regional Medical Student of the Year. Thank you to the @aaemrsa executive board for this incredible honor!
Aslanger pattern criteria:
- ST segment elevation in V1>V2
- ST elevation in III but not II or aVF (III and V1 are contiguous in 3D)
- STD in any V4-6 (but not V2) with terminally positive T waves
5. Be aware of an emerging STEMI equivalent: the Aslanger pattern. It is highly suggestive of RCA or LCx infarct and has a 5x higher in-hospital mortality when missed.
Thank you, @JerrySeinfeld, for perfectly encompassing the emotions I feel watching the airing of @billyjoel’s 100th MSG residency performance. A legendary run for one of the greatest to ever do it.
“I am from Long Island, like Billy is from Long Island. He captured how we all feel living in this particular part of the world. Long Island. New York. He’s like the companion that we’ve gone through our whole lives with. His music is our best friend for our whole life.”
Being an EM physician has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and I’m ecstatic to announce that I have matched at @NSLIJ_EM! To everyone who supported me throughout this process, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Congratulations to all who matched!
