Today, alongside Ms. Louise Haxthausen and Dr. Masanori Nagaoka from the UNESCO Regional Office in Nairobi, we participated in the UNESCO regional consultation on cultural policies and sustainable development for African States that was chaired by the Government of Kenya and co-chaired by the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This two-day consultation meeting brings together various participants including National Commissions for UNESCO, regional, intergovernmental organizations, academia, and civil society sub-regional and regional, organizations and networks.

This event is a key component of the inclusive and participatory process leading to the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development - MONDIACULT 2025 which is set to be held in Spain on September 2025
