José Ramírez!!
This pitch was 0.74 ft above the ground
That is:
-lowest pitch he’s homered on in his career, including playoffs
-lowest pitch for a postseason homer in MLB under tracking (2008)
Pitchers to have 9 K’s thru 4IP on 51 or fewer pitches this season + postseason:
1. Misiorowski: 9Ks on 42 pitches
2. Tolle: 9 Ks on 46 pitches
T-3. Misiorowski: 9Ks on 51 pitches
T-3. Gavin Williams: 9 Ks on 51 pitches
The Red Sox offense has 11 whiffs thru 2 IP.
That ties the most whiffs thru 2 IP for them this year (they also had 11 whiffs on Aug 2nd against Emmet Sheehan).
That 100 mph heater was the 2nd fastest four-seam that Chris Sale has thrown all year and tied for the 7th fastest four-seamer of his career.
It was his fastest strikeout all season and tied for the 3rd fastest strikeout of his career.
Jesús Luzardo's sweeper is the most dominant pitch in the pitch tracking era.
Made my @MLB YouTube debut today so I can tell you all about the pitch I've been obsessing about for the past two months:

@jamisonhensley Yea the blown call on 4th and goal is awful but it shouldn't have gotten to that point. Don't care that the box was stacked you have the top running QB and a powerhouse RB. You have little WR talent. Why overthink it. So maddening.
In offensive coordinator Declan Doyle's first game as a playcaller, the Ravens produced the first game in their 31-year history with this trifecta:
🏈 300-yard passer (Lamar Jackson)
🏈 150-yard receiver (Zay Flowers)
🏈 100-yard rusher (Derrick Henry)

@alwunder Agreed Maye has more overall talent but latest says Egbuka is likely fine and I think Godwin could be better than people think. Just worried SEA completely shuts Maye down again. This tweet had me spooked, too https://t.co/XnK3eX4D90
I’m going to say this about Drake Maye and leave it at that:
There are flash-in-the-pan QBs who catch lightning in the right offensive system at the right time and have 1-2 big years, and then disappear when the league figures it out.
Maye had an incredible season, but before the second matchup with the Bills, I called out the fact that he completely fell apart when teams went to cover 6.
Then McDermott, that same week, went to a bunch of nasty cover 6 and Maye crumbled. And then every other coach did the same thing and he never showed he was the same guy.
The first 4 games are going to be very telling about which type of player he’s going to be.
I come in peace and am an admitted fantasy football hobbyist:
Maye is a top 5 QB off the board. Mayfield is 15-20th.
Most people start Mayfield over Maye (I do, too). I know it's just one game but in what other world would you not start a top 5 QB in their first matchup?
