@KiszelyPhilip@YouTube These are two different parties with radically different politics. It's not a split, but more like two different universes. However, Reform and the Conservatives are the real split on the right.
@IberianMantis @BeersAndCheers4 I read Mitchell, which I can recommend. My next read will be Alexander. Then perhaps The War Nerd Iliad, simply for the lulz. I read the Fagles translation of The Odyssey, which was rewarding. Just avoid Emily Watson at all costs.
@_HelenDale The 10 pct "other" are most likely Restore Britain. They are the ones to keep an eye on. It's 3 years until 2029, a ocean of time in politics.
@NickDixon Women have indeed taken over, but there are still a few decent novels getting published, often by indie publishers. Check Karl Dahl and S D Wickett as examples of readable authors.
@Obs_Rev@oldspeak_books@essdeewickett@BournbrookPress I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The storyline is engaging, and every now and then there's an absolutely brilliant line. It's also refreshingly not blatantly left-wing, yet also not really political.
@Babygravy9 No, but there is a whaler (fishing vessel that hunts whales a few months a year) based in this municipality. I buy 30 kilos of whale meat from them after each season. It tastes like reindeer meat.
@V37432258@SydSteyerhart Only a fraction of both women and men in Norway get to do national service, which is not particularly dangerous. Also, the army gets to pick the most motivated. These women go on to university afterwards. I thetefore presume few pregnancies.
