@AliDriverUK Might not be very helpful, but I’ve had a handful of these little mint moths on my nepeta. Also a second type of moth that’s been impossible to capture.
@graemelyons@MattEAShardlow@AliDriverUK@Lophophanes I’ve seen a good few daytime moths in my little garden (not sure what kind I’m afraid but will identify and record today). Not really sure how to find and record at night, but definitely noticed while driving there are virtually no moths at all.
@ReforestB Is there anything to be done about it? My parents neighbour has an oak, most likely 150 years old +, that is being felled because of subsidence over 40 feet away from the tree. The property is on a clay hill and built 100 years ago, couldn’t possibly be the shallow foundations
@helenwithers@_JoelAshton It’s scary how fast they seem to be disappearing, but hopefully we can all do our part and create little havens. The garden is so low maintenance and it’s so beautiful! Much better than a fully paved or astroturfed garden.
@helenwithers@_JoelAshton Since adding in lots of native species and plants for pollinators, we’ve had starlings, dunnocks, wrens, blue tits, bee fly, bumbles, a newt, hover fly etc! The earth is heaving with worms as well so I’m hoping there are lots of other creatures I’m not seeing too.
@voteLyubka Hi Lyubka, I had a question about one of the items you oppose on your flyer. What are the ‘adult themes entertainment’ you are describing in sex education? And are you opposed to gender identity being discussed and taught in schools and libraries? Thanks!
@GreenDaveP @efgreens @eppingforestdc@EppingForestHT@CpreEssex@ActionEpping Thanks David! I really appreciate it.
I’ll look into your links, but are you aware of any groups (council or public) that are dedicated to lobbying for change, or acting on it locally?
@efgreens tree felling, glyphosate use, and unnecessary cutback of wildflowers in Buckhurst Hill. Is there anything the local community can do to change this? We’re in a climate crisis and @eppingforestdc are mismanaging our local environment.
It’s incredibly disheartening.
@_JoelAshton Hi, I’m trying my best with my (much) smaller garden, and I’ve used your book as a template, but are there any key things I can do to ensure I attract and support wildlife more? I have native/pollinator planting, a water feature, and a nature pond.
@TfL Buckhurst Hill, I’ve just got on a train after a 20 minute wait. Just give people a heads up if trains are delayed 😩 it would solve so many issues
@gardentrading I received a gifted item from you damaged and improperly packaged, and now I have to pay out of pocket to send it back. Not the great service you used to have at all.
