This is one of the biggest stories in sports law & governance in the UK and should be of interest to anyone interested in fair & transparent sports regulation. https://t.co/Q8SJFal1aK
"Removing an elite environment - because it’s easier than fixing the problems that surround it - gets framed as bold decision-making, when really it’s an admission that nobody knows how to make the existing system work".

@stephenjones9 They will enjoy their payouts but can you look into the integrity of the process with those that are meant to be independent not being quite so? Should an independent chair threaten the board with resignation if they don’t agree to his whims? What about the need for transparency?
@BBCSportWales@sportwales and @uk_sport should be all over this with RCW apparently not being as independent as required by law by threatening the board with his resignation. Process needs to be halted and checked before it becomes irreversible.
@PhilRugby@BillOKeefe14@maybethiseason@ScarletsOTD Repeating the same message doesn’t make it reality.
The Scarlets were created in 2003 when the current pro-structure was started but it’s exacerbated by the selective disregard for the proud history of Llanelli RFC.
@maybethiseason@PhilRugby@ScarletsOTD It’s amazing though how Scarlets closing down Llanelli RFC in favour of Llandovery and Carmarthen Quins in the SRC still hasn’t been addressed?
Wonder why?! In denial and as some say “drinking their own Kool Aid”
As we wait for the WRU to update us on the outcome of Wednesday's board meeting, some thoughts on Model C (the latest flavour of the month) and how the WRU has deliberately narrowed the parameters of the debate to suit their own agenda rather than what is best for Welsh rugby 🧵
@RickyHarries Surprised the scarlets didn’t look at the weather forecast as Storm Amy was flagged on Monday and then fly earlier … poor planning and reacting to change.
