Academic reading about Russia, culture, conflict, education and other related issues out of @CEID_IOE and @IOE_London. New to Twitter. She/Her. Spooks easily.
Off to London to teach on the Education During Emergency Situations module, and watching this on loop on the train because I am a consummate professional: https://t.co/2VmyJkVxqp Laughed so hard, I think the other passengers have taken some steps back.
Today has been one of those full-on days, where there have been a million tasks, and yet I haven't gotten to any of the work I actually had scheduled in... It's going to be a late one, I think.
An important response to the Taliban's ban on women's higher education by MA EID's own Shurha Koofi. There isn't enough attentionon this story. @CEID_IOE@IOE_London

On my shelf since 2018… shamefully only just read this by @ArkadyOstrovsky. In many ways more interesting post-24th Feb ‘22. Highly recommend it if you want to understand media manipulation in #Russia and the relative ease of maintaining #Putin’s cult of personality. #Ukraine
After an evening of reading predictions of imminent state collapse and civil war in Russia and its geopolitical implications, I'm picking up "My name is Lucy Barton". I don't know how I would sleep without literary fiction.
Well, this was wonderful. Special thanks to my @CEID_IOE MA EID students for motivating me to read this over the break. Looking forward to chatting over the book in January.
