I was a chronic procrastinator.
Always looking for the “perfect business” to start.
Until I discovered this new business model which crossed over $2,000,000 in revenue within 5 years - that anybody can start.
So I figured I’d try building my own multi million dollar pooper scooper empire.
Yep, you heard me.
And while I’m at it, I’ll be sharing the (sometimes disgusting) journey with you.
Here’s how I’m going to do it ->
Day 66/366 of Growing on X:
My Advertising Process:
1. Start with the end result. What do you want to happen? Be detailed.
2. Select the Avatar. Know who you are talking to. Research.
3. Reverse engineer how to take the Avatar to the end result.
4. Be brutally honest. This only works if you are radically honest. Is your work any good? The avatar is constantly saying “so what?”.
@sans_builds That’s very true as well. I more meant being honest with yourself as to whether what you’ve made is actually any good. But your point is still super valid!
Day 67/366 of Growing on X:
Got the next 4 days off from my 9-5.
It’s time for a marketing sprint.
4 days in the trenches.
Come out the other side making twice as much as my 9-5.
Take your marks…
Dude wtf this is what the hat was supposed to look like vs what I got.
That’s $50 down the drain, massive for a low budget startup.
Why not get a refund you ask?
Oh yeah, did I mention I tried contacting them 26 million times over the last 6 months?
Phone, email, morse code - nothing!
General Dooty won’t let them get away with this…
Day 65/366 of Growing on X:
You wouldn’t pick up a guitar and start composing global hits.
So why would you expect to write million dollar copy out of the gates?
Learn the craft in the same way you would learn an instrument - by playing existing songs.
All you gotta do is search for great ads or ads that have generated lots of sales and write them out by hand.
You are exposed to quality which quite literally rubs off on you.
I’ve done copywork every day for a month before, but want to unlock a whole new level of challenge and consistency.
That’s why I’m committing to an hour of copywork every day for a year.
Here's to the grind ahead.
Day 64/366 of Growing on X:
You need to think like a pirate when you travel.
Most people work 48 weeks just to blow it all in 4.
They run a leaking ship.
And it’s not sustainable.
The average person travels overseas to adventure and to spend.
But a pirate takes the seas to adventure and to profit.
Once you have a profitable personal brand, you can travel like a pirate.
Right now you’re running a leaking ship.
@realjosiahwayne Hahaha I love that you appreciated it Josiah. You're actually spot on. It's wanting the reward of the travel before you've built the system to sustain it.

@EmailCopyJames Appreciate that James. Seemed to get good traction. And yes your summary captures the point perfectly! Somewhere along the way we traded practicality for frivolity when it comes to travel.
@sans_builds Adaptability = Active Planning. And having a rigid 9-5 does not encourage adaptability. That's why it has to go and be replaced by your personal brand.
@misfitwriter_ Appreciate that brother I’m keen to drop lots of sauce and get better and better. Just a reminder to make sure you confirm your subscription - that email might have ended up in your promotions btw
