@TSpeth5@SCK4068@bballbreakdown Only one of the two teams playing in that game ran the swing so seems a little strange to blame it on the offensive system and not the players execution and low pace.
@bballbreakdown@JoRy_MaMa Holy crap imagine trying to tell other people what to do and then later admitting you think a team runs an offensive system that they have used in over 3 years.......
@dodgers_burner The funny thing to me about the "homegrown" narrative is they could easily be very homegrown and honestly not even that much worse, they just chose not to. Swap Freeman, Tucker, and Scott for Seager, Bellinger, and Jansen and suddenly they're like the most homegrown team ever.
@redturn2 Everyone loves to talk about "parity" but the real question is how can you have parity when the pirates get to pay the cy young winner 800k next year?
@SteelCityBucs30 Then you have to massively change the way team control works. The only way to get a real advantage in the system you just described is tanking.
@GageEHC@Mr_Cummatme@ryKeough So just to be clear you would prefer the sport to essentially be a random number generator every year? Just complete randomness that no one has any idea who is going to be good and who will be bad?
@AndThatsBB@pitchprofiler They also love to ignore the fact that no other league has anything remotely similar to the 6 years of team control, 3 of which an MVP level player might be making league minimum. The pirates just had back to back years where they were paying 800k for sub 2 ERA starter.
