Visits to deepfake abuse sites have risen 3000% since 2019.
That’s thousands of ordinary women and girls being exploited online via non-consensual deepfakes.
Labour is tackling the issue at the source – making it illegal to supply the tools for creating explicit deepfakes.
Alongside other key measures, this bill will also increase protection from sexual harassment, introduce Equality Menopause Action Plans and strengthen rights for pregnant workers.
