Agree. Probably not incredible for PAS, but maybe a noisier signal than it looks. De-Shorification will take time, especially in Shor's seat of power and a region where PAS opponents run up Assad-level numbers.

Some thoughts on the mayoral by-election results in Moldova, esp. in Orhei and Bulgarian-majority Taraclia. I wouldn't read too much into them, but this was not a great day for the ruling PAS, and victories by pro-Russian candidates, however limited, are a concern ...

M-am întâlnit azi, la Galați, cu persoanele afectate de explozia dronei, cărora le-am transmis compasiune și solidaritate în urma celor întâmplate.

Am mulțumit autorităților locale și centrale implicate pentru reacția promptă. Mi-au comunicat măsurile următoare pentru persoanele afectate.

Evenimentul de la Galați este mai mult decât un incident de securitate. Federația Rusă a comis un act grav, care a pus în pericol viețile cetățenilor români pe pământ românesc. Este o escaladare care nu poate fi acceptată, nu va fi tolerată și nici nu va rămâne fără răspuns. Este consecința iresponsabilității cu care Rusia folosește diverse tactici, în total dispreț față de viața civililor. Toate fac parte din arsenalul Moscovei pentru a induce frică, pentru a submina încrederea, pentru a face rău.

De aceea, vreau ca mesajul meu să fie înțeles foarte clar: indiferent cât de mult încearcă să ne dezbine, indiferent de opiniile noastre diferite pe diverse teme, Rusia nu va reuși să dezbine societatea noastră când este vorba despre integritatea României, despre democrație și libertate în România. Sunt valori pe care societatea noastră și le-a asumat în momente istorice și în jurul cărora suntem uniți.
