Division 1 Track & Field Misconception advice for the youth. There are levels to D1. A lot of kids ask me how to make it D1 and what kind of marks they need to get. Understand this, there are D1 High Jumpers who Jump 7’6 and there are also D1 High jumpers who Jump 6’4. This type of gap takes place in every event on the track as well. There are so many D1 schools that are levels to Division 1 as a whole. Requirements will depend on what conference you choose to compete in. Also there is nothing wrong with D2, D3, JUCO etc. Some of the greatest athletes started in those divisions and became Olympians, National record holders and more. So it’s not D1 or bust. It’s great to have goals but be grateful for any opportunity and don’t sell yourself short. #Trackandfield
Being patient & resting from an injury has been difficult but it’s paid off. I’m excited to run the 60 & 200 & get some long jump this in this weekend at KU #indoortrack
Solid meet in Birmingham consistent in the long jump in the 20s 60 was rough bit of a block slip and after a long day came out 51.8 in the 400 good start to DECEMBER‼️

Honored & excited to announce my verbal commitment to the Univ. of Louisville! Thank you to @MaryKWood11 & Coach Cowper for this tremendous opportunity! Love to my family, friends, coaches, & teammates for always believing in & pushing me! @LouisvilleTFXC@Wolverine_Track
I just had a recruit call me and inform me they chose another school over ours and I’m not mad at all. I’m PROUD, recruiting is supporting athletes in any way they need even if that means supporting them going elsewhere. Those connections never disappear.
