@UK_Daniel_Card This is very true. Barely a week goes by without somebody waving a Nessus scan in my face and having blood pressure issues over it. Sadly this says more about their lack of understanding than it does about security.
@UK_Daniel_Card Sadly that's a common reality when it comes to the people working in cyber who have no idea how computers workโน๏ธ
Some will try and educate them, some will push back, but the fake-it-until-you-make-it folks are more than a distraction at this point.
@DrewIsSharing If you own your place and can mount a unit on a bit of outside wall a small split system is almost silent inside, ultimately uses less power, doesn't need a window open, cools more effectively and isn't actually stupid money. Just a thought.
@wallenius_brian Yeah, nothing too major. Babicz hardtail bridge, new pots/5-way switch, SG381 tuners.
I've bought expensive guitars before, but the quality of CNC these days plus a good luthier to fine tune and some decent hardware; I challenge anyone to tell them apart.
@wallenius_brian I put some @Tonerider pickups in mine. Not stupidly expensive, very chilled and bluesy, but will also shred on command. It's with my guitar god luthier atm for a slick fret level and setup, and I'm never selling it!
@DrSdeG Largely came about when Uber got hosed after a threat actor kept triggering MFA requests that just needed a simple click. Eventually an engineer got sick of it and just clicked "Yes".
There are good reasons for the number, despite the annoyance it confers.
@DACatherall@MrDeanHarvey@sleafordmods@grok I saw them at Download in 2008 where they did the same arrangement, but I've never found a video of that. Thankfully this one exists.
