NamCollection for PS2 included Tekken, Ridge Racer, Mr. Driller, Klonoa and Ace Combat 2 with improved textures and analogue support. It's a mystery why it was never released outside of Japan. Perhaps it was believed some critics would find the older games too dated.

18 years ago today, Sunsoft Collection was originally released as a PlayStation 2 system exclusive, distributed only in JP. It was developed by Sunsoft/SNK Playmore and published by SNK Playmore.
In the late 90s, Sony released the Net Yaroze.
It was a black PlayStation development kit for hobbyists.
For hundreds of dollars, you got a console, tools, cables and the chance to make your own PS1 games at home.
The bedroom-dev dream once came in matte black.
