Our Send Network Kickoff at #SBC25 began with prayer, worship, and a message from @BryanLoritts on what it means for us to be completely sold out for Jesus!
All services at FBC BG are cancelled for today, January 5, 2025.
Unfortunately, despite our pre-salting of the parking lot and sidewalks, the weather has turned to a degree that we cannot safely gather at FBC today. All in-person services, both morning and evening, are cancelled.
Jesus' model of discipleship was radical and transformative: He taught with compassion, served selflessly, and empowered others to spread love and kindness. #Discipleship
What does God call us to be in this world? He calls His people to be lights, in the middle of darkness, that point others to Jesus. @FirstBaptistBG

Follower of Christ: stop trying to follow Jesus at a distance. He desires an up-close, personal relationship with you. Get to know him through his word.

VOM President Cole Richards says, “We can all rejoice in understanding that God can bring forth fruit for eternity through our simple and unremarkable acts of obedience to the Great Commission.” Read stories of obedience by believers in Kashmir, India, in this month's magazine.
And that answer came in the form of @FirstBaptistBG. He opened the door for us to join the team at FBC, and we could not be more thrilled! We look forward to serving alongside the incredible team at FBC and her people to impact BG, WC, and the world for the glory of Jesus' name!
For some time now, we have wrestled with what is next for us. We asked God over and over again, and in His grace, He said nothing. So, we pressed on for the glory of His name where He planted us. However, we knew that the day would come when He would give us the answer. (1/2)
FBC is thrilled to welcome @AlexWatkins10 as our new Minister of Adult Discipleship and Missions! Alex will be instrumental in helping adults trust and follow Jesus individually, in community, and to the ends of the earth through our adult discipleship and missions ministries.
The last 2 decades of church life have tried to convince pastors that our mission is to develop leaders. But I disagree. We are called to make disciples of Jesus. Some will be leaders. Some have a gift of leadership. But the Church is in dire need of disciples who make disciples.
“Of all I wish to say this is the sum; my brethren, preach CHRIST, always and evermore. He is the whole gospel. His person, offices, and work must be our one great, all-comprehending theme. The world needs still to be told of its Savior, and the way to reach him.” —Charles Spurgeon.
