Here’s how I got them back in minutes.

I was on legacy Cursor Ultra ($200/mo). Reset wasn’t due until Thursday. Company runs on these agents.

Switched to the unified plan (~same cost), got a prorated refund on the old one, and the counter reset to 0%. Every agent was back online in minutes. 🤯

Btw I now have back to back comparison between a Cursor Ultra account and Unified X Ultra and yes, the old one is fairer. Just in!! Grok @bot usage meter bug reset done! My Cursor Ultra (Grok Bot) account went down from 68% to 38% which is more or less what the overnight Saturday to Sunday spike was!

I think they were trying different usage algos all these days, @elonmusk went in and cut the Gordian knot. The business model of relying on Opus tokens surely could not last long.
I think we need more visibility on per bot token cost and overall more open source setup. Why cant I easily connect my local models to my bot(s)?

Mid term we need a plan to run local machines and models, the Ultras are lossmakers for sure for us using them at 100% every single week. Perhaps we need more people paying and letting them unused, gym membership style, @elonmusk time to target more “user groups”, put ads on FB LOL 🤣🤣

While the “Sunday @elonmusk looked at numbers” event unfolded my usage was crazy.
Now it looks like 1.5x - 2x faster then the old
World / old plan… but they hold all the cards anyway.
Perhaps @elonmusk wanted exactly that: to push us and see how much we are willing to pay up (including converting to the current plans), for me it was a $200 to £180 ($240) switch so I took the dive…
I agree with you though, I resisted the Unified plan until now, I only did it as a test and preferred it to enabling on demand usage.

Yeah but @spacexai hold the cards on how they charge. It is a different plan with inclusive usage for Grok Bot + Grok Models + Cursor Agents (+ Grok + X) renewing weekly while Cursor Ultra had/has 3 pools:
- weekly Grok Bot
- monthly Cursor + Grok Models
- monthly Other Models
So depends per use case really

@AJesusemen Lmk how it goes for you, I spent Sunday waiting for a resolution and when @elonmusk made it blunt that, hey we overspent on tokens, this is is the new reality, this was my only way of not turning ok demand usage and burning $30 per hour or so until the reset 🤣
