At the 1976 Montreal Olympics, gymnast Nadia Comăneci made history by scoring the first perfect 10 in Olympic gymnastics.
However, the official Olympics scoreboard manufacturer thought a perfect ten was impossible, so they didn't program the scoreboard to show it. When Comăneci earned a perfect 10, it appeared as "1.00" because that was the only way the judges could display her score.
Join us next week for a timely discussion of a century of eugenic laws that shaped global perceptions & policies organised by @TheAcumenGroup1 and hosted by @UniWestminster. I will be joining this panel of experts @DrShantella@DrWilmerLeon@MissSarahWise
