Wemby was, with very little room for debate, the best player in this post-season. His value dipped a bit in the Finals, but it was still high and you have to consider the complete volume of work.
Even then there is so much room for improvement. Peak Wemby is a terrifying thought
Negatives:
- Spurs lost the NBA Finals
Positives:
- Overachieved all year
- Everyone finished the season healthy
- The young core got four rounds of playoff experience
- Lots of assets to keep building
- This is the worse they will ever be
Hard not to have a positive outlook
VICTOR WEMBANYAMA AGE 22 SEASON:
60 win season
1st team all NBA
1st team all Defense
UNANIMOUS DPOY
3rd in MVP voting
Western Conference champion
Western Conference MVP
The future is now 👽👽
UNBELIEVABLE Season. Thank you 1
Wemby is now overrated bc he ran through the West at 22 y/o and got the prestigious opportunity to play in the Finals.
NBA is the only sport where you get penalized for overachieving.
Wemby has been so good until now it's kinda warped people's expectations.
At 22:
LeBron got swept in the Finals
Jordan hadn't won a playoff series yet
Kareem was a rookie
Wilt hadn't played a NBA game
Shaq got swept in the Finals
i like how the season started with “will the thunder beat 73 wins” then “is shai better than prime steph” then “will the thunder be the first b2b champs” and all of it went to shit😂😂😂
We really the standard, and will never be touched.
Victor Wembanyama at the age of 22 years old is going to his first NBA Finals.
It’s his league. Best in the world. Already one of the best we’ve ever seen. Insanity.
