Reimbursement encourages bad security practices and creates perverse incentives.
People need a reason to take their security seriously.
The right incentives/disincentives force a change in behaviour.
@dcinvestor This is a result of where crypto is today ser. CeFi has better UX than DApps.
The avg user doesn't have the time or the inclination to understand how all this works.
To the everyday Joe/Jane, simple and wrong is better than complicated and right.
If enough people buy that jpeg, it tells everyone that they should be spending their time making MORE of those jpegs.
This works with time as well.
Vote wisely anon.
In other words, money is a form of voting.
Every time you spend money on a shiny jpeg, you are voting with your money.
Your vote is a signal that you find that particular type of jpeg valuable.
1/ Wealth is a claim on other people's time
There are a lot of theories on what money is, on what wealth is.
Economists have written very long books on this. It is debt, it is the evolution of barter, it is an information system, etc, etc.
All of these are true in their way
Cafeteria Jealousy is pointless.
People are a result of EVERYTHING they have experienced in their lives, good and bad.
You CAN'T pick and choose what you want.
It's EVERYTHING or NOTHING.
The most pointless emotion by far is jealousy.
You almost certainly don't want to actually switch lives with the person you are jealous of.
Be the best you, don't simp for someone else's life.
@punk6529 "The part of the person that we envy doesn’t exist without the rest of that person.
If we aren’t willing to trade places with them completely - their life, their body, their thoughts - then there is nothing to be envious about."

I resonate with this. Grew up around gamblers and no savings.
I also made a lot in 2017 and lost it all in 2018.
From there, I had to grow my own financial mindset from scratch to make sure I didn't lose it all again.
Took me a few years but I’m so thankful I stuck with it.
the [green, democratic] party is hereby cracking down on Big Money Moneylaundering and empowering everyone regardless of wealth by…. increasing surveillance of low net worth individuals and forcing them to use the systems controlled and architected by the wealthy
The fact that is considered legal for a corporation to compile perfect records of your private life simply because you had to "click OK to continue" to make your phone work is a perfect expression of who holds the power in society and why they should be cast into the sea.
