@HarlanSweete Actually I would just play with open decklist from round 1. If you add coverage to scouting, it means you not only get colour pair but also substantial information on the decklist which can give too much information imbalance.
@WickedFridge@lsv I'm not talking about the fun. I'm talking about the depressed feeling of losing all your games vs a more skilled opponent. That's what happens in game where you remove the random "I win" factor coming from resources problems
@WickedFridge@lsv Why isn't it good for beginners?! that's what gonna help them sometimes win against much better opponents. The learning progression is so much stiffer if you always lose vs better opponents
@DinhKhangPham Best of 3 is best as it diminishes variance. All tournaments seems to have a really bad structure though. When you make the cut to day 2 and win all your matches on day 2 you should make the top cut.(2/2)
@DinhKhangPham Best of 2 is the best to diminish variance, but the downsides outweigh by far that upside: people playing best of 1 or best of 3 while on the bubble, draws that became a win... Best of 1 was ok in Singapore. We should just have played much more rounds.(1/2)
@zan_syed But then it was direct elimation for 6 straight matches. There should've been a couple more Swiss rounds and then a top 16... RB should really look what structure other tcg are implementing and take notice. (3/3)
@zan_syed They was one swiss round too few. Top cuts should be for top 8 or top 16 and they should be more Swiss rounds. Ccq structure was also painful in Annecy were there was 7 swiss rounds followed by a top 64 for a little bit less than 300 players. I finished 7-0. (2/3)
@zan_syed Format structure definitely sucks. Finished 36th in Bologna at 10-2. Obvious move would be to grant an invite. But ultimately they need to either add a Swiss round or make it top 64 cut. I'm always in favour of more Swiss rounds as this flatten the variance. (1/x)
@ExpeditionMap My rcq was 30 minutes build (so we didn t get the extra time). Everyone finished in time. The judge reminding multiple times players how much time was left helped everyone finish in time. Some friends (even me) thought they misbuilt but managing time is part of skill, isn't it ?
