Three years ago, I stepped away from writing to focus more deeply on my studies. The world hasn’t waited. In that time, we’ve seen the largest land war in Europe since World War II, the reemergence of great-power rivalry, and the breathtaking rise of artificial intelligence—all reshaping the boundaries of democracy, capitalism, and national power. I return now because the stakes have only grown, and the misalignments in our systems—economic, educational, technological—are too urgent to ignore.

This post is a manifesto for 2025. It’s an attempt to synthesize the forces that have collided since I last wrote: war and realignment abroad, cultural stagnation and educational decay at home, and the seismic emergence of AI as both a threat and opportunity.
