My unpopular opinion is that Nigeria needs to stop! We need to pause and acknowledge the trauma we are living through. Unions need to go on strike. Everyone needs to take a week long moment of silence. Going on like nothing is happening, is inhumane and insane. Phew!
A lot of Nigerians in Nigeria don’t seem to understand how wide the gap between the rich and poor is in Nigeria.
Before we got married my wife lived on the 10th floor of a high rise building. She is a lawyer and had less than 2 years work experience in the country at the time.
I even used to troll her that her salary is my stock options 😂, but there’s no necessity I can afford that she also can not afford.
To live in a similar apartment building in Nigeria, she’d need to be in the top 1%.
The cleaner at my workplace comes to work in his own car. It is difficult to understand it using the Nigerian lens where there is only one rich man in a poor neighbourhood.
This is my brother David's X-ray. His goiter has dropped into his chest and is pushing his windpipe to the left. He cannot swallow his own saliva. He struggles to breathe. 1.2M OUT OF 3MILLION so far. He needs surgery ASAP. Please

Jesus had an accent. people forget this or just don’t pay attention enough but He was a Nazarene carrying the northern Aramaic dialect, and that accent immediately marked Him as a Galilean peasant.
that’s why when Peter tried denying he knew Jesus, people recognized him almost instantly just by the way he spoke:
“Surely you are one of them; your accent gives you away.” — Matthew 26:73
which is fascinating because it means even the Son of God sounded provincial to the empire.
just thinking about this because so many people feel embarrassed or less intelligent for having an accent while speaking, when historically accents were one of the clearest markers of where you came from, who your people were, what region shaped you etc and even Jesus carried that.
