Former MI6 chief Sir Alex Younger on Brexit: “Putin would have been absolutely delighted by our decision.”
“So would Xi. France has effectively eclipsed us. Brexit has marginalised us.” Most striking of all: “Just nobody mentions the UK.”
Very sad that Sir Alex Younger, chief of the Secret Intelligence Service, born on July 4, 1963, died of pancreatic cancer on June 2, 2026, aged 62

Jeffery Sachs: “Israel's doctrine is kill its adversaries. Kill them in mass numbers, kill the civilians, kill the women, kill the children. They don't discriminate between civilians and military targets. They leveled Gaza... It is a rogue, brutal regime...”
Betore Rome, there was Carthage. Before Carthage, there was Tyre.
Israel is currently demolishing Tyre—a city more than 5,000 years old and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Nottingham University is story of absolute incompetence of senior management
They played 'Monopoly' & lost badly
Students are broke, courses are being shut down, academics are being fired ...while executives keep their high-paying salaries & bonuses

The story of Israel. Ethnic cleansing, terror and horrific crimes against Palestinians from its very inception. What do you call such a “state”? Does it even deserve such a name?
On Nakba Day 2026, Palestinian journalist @muhammadshehad2 releases a powerful short film on Israel’s creation through the words and deeds of its founding leaders.
The destruction of Palestine from 1947 onward, fully documented and long obscured, is now forcefully resurfacing.
Here is my BAFTA speech in full, with the important bit that hasn't been shown.
Also, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us, and to our colleagues who rallied around us. And thank you to @BAFTA and the judges for a great evening and a great honour.
The decimation of Gaza’s healthcare system is central to Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. The continued detention of Gaza’s healthcare workers is one example of the genocide continuing despite the so-called ceasefire.
The UK must pressure Israel to immediately and unconditionally release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and all healthcare workers held without charge or trial – and take action to help end Israel’s occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Gaza.
Israel continues to destroy civilian infrastructure as shown in this video, which captures the Israeli army destroying solar panels in southern Lebanon.
Amnesty International has previously documented extensive destruction by the Israeli military along Lebanon’s border before and after the November 2024 ceasefire. We called for reparations and the investigation into this for war crimes. So far, neither has appeared.
Since the more recent 2026 “ceasefire”, civilians in southern Lebanon’s border villages, many of whom are displaced, are continuing to witness their homes, land and infrastructure destroyed.
Israel must stop the unlawful destruction of civilian property across southern Lebanon.
Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur, has delivered a devastating account of Israeli policy.
'Greater Israel is a project of regional expansion. When said in 2024 what starts in Palestine will not stay in Palestine, two years later it's happening. Torture is not incidental. It has become central to a broader system of violence. It is institutionalized, enabled by law, shielded by courts, normalized in public discourse. Everyone has been beaten. Many have been raped with metal objects, knives, dogs trained to rape.
1.9 million Palestinians are corralled in 50 square kilometers of land, exposed to the elements, without basic hygiene, without food, without medicine, with rats attacking them day and night."
A day of ordinary terror in the West Bank (where there is no Hamas or Hezbollah): Israeli settlers killed 3 people including a child after shooting at a school full of children. Israeli army came to protect the settlers. #StopTradeWithIsrael
