@Uggg_uggg People certainly do say some silly things. And in any case, this story is literally about how Igor rebuilt his life. Anyone who's suffered any kind of loss knows that "moving on" doesn't mean acting like nothing happened; that's denial and repression, very unhealthy.
@bneeditor It was a formal statement IIRC, that "Russia doesn't deserve a capital letter;" the most puerile thing I've ever seen in international politics. IMO you shouldn't indulge them, if you're writing in English then it's a capital "R," they can do what they like amongst themselves.
@AdamJoseph For a long time, Man Utd had all their new signings say that they were joining the biggest club in the WORLD, but they seem to have quietly dropped that in recent years for some reason...
@Uggg_uggg I don't like the Panthers, but was happy that Sergei made such an heroic contribution to their SC wins (and that he quickly pulled out the Russian flag when they won!). He gave a few interviews during both series and seems such a thoughtful, pleasant, and humble guy.
@Uggg_uggg He's the most enigmatic player in the league without doubt, as well as the most creative, and one of the reasons I'm a Bolts fan. Thanks so much for your time as always, and have a lovely evening!
@Uggg_uggg I think he will, and Voronkov too. Oh, and I keep meaning to ask you: do you ever hear much of Nikita Kucherov coming back to Russia during the offseason? The impression I get is that he just stays in Tampa and works on his game, and keeps himself to himself...
@nobodyhky@JFreshHockey It's because "e" in Russian is pronounced "ye" so Egor is the correct Ru spelling but Yegor is how you say it. They also have a letter ë which is pronounced "yo" but they often don't bother with the dots, so Shesterkin is actually pronounced Shestyorkin, for example.
@GriffingDylan Great article! I caught one of Prokhorov's games for Dynamo: he both scored and also hit a guy so thunderously that he laid on the ice for several minutes before being escorted off; you could tell he enjoyed it, too. If he improves his all-round game, Isles fans will love him.
