Waiting for the rain to stop, so here is a memory of a very pleasant, hot and sunny early June afternoon in Bialowieza, Poland a few years ago with @aliceliddle & @Alexliddle88 There were many Black-veined Whites on the wing but very few landed so I was lucky to get this shot.
At last got round to sorting images from the most amazing young naturalists trip to Lundy (See web link) Met some fantastic new friends with a lot of laughs and great memories! Huge thank you to Stuart @Hairybirder, Rosie, Luke and the team at @LundyBirds. https://t.co/SWkkKu0JrT
What an insane place Lundy is... never seen anything like it - hundreds of migrants in the weirdest places. Thanks to @LundyBirds
for running this, blatently some of my best ever spring birding.
An unforgettable trip to @LundyLandmark with 2 spectacular ringing sessions - Firecrest, Goldcrest, Linnet, Pied Flycatcher, Reed and Grasshopper Warbler all highlights for me! Also spotted a Great White Egret, 3rd ever recorded on the Island. Thanks for having me @LundyBirds!
Awesome numbers of migrants over the last 3 days @LundyBirds with the Young Birders Trip. 85k steps produced (roughly): 1600 Swallow, 350 Willow W, 160 Blackcap, 140 Wheatear, 9 Redstart, 8 Gropper, 6 Tripit, 4 Pied Fly, 3 Rouzel, Marsh Harrier and a male Blue-headed Wag!
