@11Yanks@StanUsmnt Having control over his roster may boost that level for him. It might be that national team was never gonna be successful unless the top players of the pool just fit in his system by coincidence.
Ancient Rome distracted their citizens from the decay and corruption around them by "bread and the games." The Coliseum kept the little people happy. Today, we carry Coliseums in our pockets and believe whatever version of the world is pushed to us by the apps we choose to use.
@JoashPThomas In other words, viewing sin as individualistic is needed when encountering the love of God that saves me, the individual, and transforms me. When we focus on other people’s sins, it doesn’t do any good for our hearts, and doesn’t heal our shame.
@JoashPThomas IMO, the best theology on sin to have is Paul’s “I’m the chief of sinners” and no one has needed forgiveness more than me, and through Christ I have been forgiven in full. That is individualistic, but it is humble and the door to all of Gods love flowing through me.
