@jamierkennedy Rory in the presser this week raised the biggest player concern with this…it’s hard to think that they largly play a different format (stroke) all season, and then for the final it switches to something different (match).
Who created the most and best scoring opportunities in 2022-23 at 5v5 by shooting and passing the puck?
Using AllThreeZones tracked shot data weighed by variables like shot and pre-shot pass type, here are the top 40:
@avschase@DarioinDenver Kizla is a jackass, but we have a ton of free agents that won’t return and a big need for depth players. This team will look
different come preseason.
@MileHighPundit Erod is gone. And rightfully so IMO. On this team he deserves to be bottom 6. Another team he might be top 6. And Newhook gets 1 year but returns as a bottom 6.
I ageee on JT & EJ.
@sn0b40 Although I agree he is young and can still turn out to be a solid player, it was foolish to think he was ready to step up as 2C. Before the year Bednar said he would give him “a few months” as 2C. But he was removed from that role much earlier because he is clearly not ready.
Front office has a lot of work to do this off-season. Way to many spectators. If they don’t want to be apart of something special and pull there weight, show them the door and fast. Until next year. #goavsgo
Embarrassing that Newhook was supposed to replace Kadri as 2C. Depth was a huge let down. Erod and Newy especially. On top of that no big deadline moves because we expected Landy to return. That ended up killing us.
@___67Dawgman@NHLPlayerSafety I’ve watched it a dozen times. Puck pops up in the air, and there’s no whistle. Completely logical to think it’s still In play if he didn’t see where it deflected. Makar wouldn’t make that hit if he knew the puck was out of play. It’s not his style of hockey.
@AirOnBiggio It makes things worse IMO. If he’s not suspended, then his next game in in Denver, and that serves as a level of preventative for kraken to take a run at him while things cool off. With his next game being in Seattle, it’s more dangerous for him. It will be fresh.
@___67Dawgman@NHLPlayerSafety In this situation they are interchangeable to my point. If Makar knows the puck is out of play, he doesn’t make that hit. The only reason he makes the hit is he thinks the puck is dropping in front of McCann. Stander interference, nothing more.
