I’m so excited to be on the Advisory board for State of Open Con 2026! I really enjoyed the conference this year. Happy to contribute more for next year’s conference.
In this #OSPOsforGood spotlight series interview, @IkegahRuth, Open Source Manager in Lagos, Nigeria, shares her highlights from the conference, including its impact for youth.🧒

If you’re a developer building
React or Angular websites and enforcing just client-side restrictions, I’m begging you to leave that stupid habit in 2023.
ALL your code logic is running client-side, we can find and exploit your APIs easily! Unlike your lousy client-side controls, your APIs are just waiting for us to ask it (because you’ve not done what you’re supposed to do), it’ll give us unfettered access to data that you think you’ve protected with your client side controls.
Let’s not even talk about the fact that I’ll most likely find a missing or broken API authentication flaw.
End of rant!
We value your votes, and we will defend them, please my good people of Lagos, come out to vote, we need big numbers to deliver the Lagos we want.
We have security prepared as well methods to ensure election transparency !!
You can do it, We can do it - Vote LP 🗳
Èkó E dìde!!
I, Gbadebo would open and publish Lagos State Accounts for FULL TRANSPARENCY.
Decongest the Lagos waste management system engaging private partners.
OUR LAGOS is POssible, a SANER Lagos is POssible.

I know we said we should not make this elections only about Endsars.
But I swear the Lagos governorship elections must be fully about ENDSARS.
Sanwo Olu must leave!
Any Nigerian looking out for Developer Advocacy roles? I have someone looking to hire and would be happy to recommend.
