If you describe the payment narration correctly, you only pay tax when required... and nothing extra.

There are already thousands of reactions trailing this post by @channelstv, which deliberately twisted the facts to obviously oil the current dangerous narrative. My main concern here is the fact that what Channels did was clearly deliberate and calculated deception, knowing fully well that there would be no consequences whatsoever.

Initially, they posted the news without mentioning Christmas. After a few minutes, when they realized the post was not generating the reactions they anticipated, they went back to edit it to include “On Christmas Eve.”

This is just irresponsible and speaks to a troubling lack of editorial restraint and professionalism in journalism in this country.
