TODAY: The Principal Secretary, State Department of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Eng. Festus Ngeno met with World Bank representatives for the Kenya Environmental Health and Pollution Management Program (AEHPMP) during its 7th mission stocktaking of implementation progress and performance.
The PS was accompanied by the NEMA Board Chairman, Mr. Emilio Mugo, NEMA DG, Mamo B. Mamo EBS and David Ong'are the AEHPMP project Coordinator.
The team met with Ernesto Sanchez-Triana who is Global Lead for Pollution Management and Circular Economy and Min Jung Kwon, the Environmental Specialist.
The PS commended the support to the Ministry by World Bank team, especially on e-waste, which is being implemented by NEMA. NEMA DG applauded the team for the continual support and pledged commitment by the newly reconstituted Project coordination unit, with clear roadmap and strict timelines to fast-track implementation of activities.
