@mcmeelmartin@Headteacherchat GL also offer a range of other tests which are quite good - but you need to be mindful which to choose as I’ve found some not suitable for our pupils with SEMH
@mcmeelmartin@Headteacherchat I use GL new group reading test (NGRT). I like this because it uses adaptive technology, which alters the level of questions based on how well the pupils answer them. I’ve found this can be less off putting for our pupils. Is also standardised and great for progress tracking.
We’ve had a wonderful 2 days of transition with our new pupils and families for Keystone Academy.
One pupil told his mum: ‘I feel like I can be myself at my new school … it’s nice not to pretend and I can just be me’.
This young man has melted the heart of all of us all ready!
We are looking to recruit a site manager for Keystone Academy- our new SEMH school, opening in Shrewsbury in September.

@MikePower_91 This is such a great read and inspiring to hear how your carefully considered work is having such a positive impact on your young people. Great work, Mike!
@Headteacherchat Definitely apply - you’ll kick yourself if you don’t and even if you don’t get it, you can get some really valuable feedback for the next dream job 😊

A sensory lifestyle will take each day as a new one dependant on how that person feels that day.
We all wake up feeling different each day and so we must be able to adapt appropriately to support someones sensory needs.
