@energyintel Profitability is key of course for commercial reasons but Shell's portfolio can still weather the initial headwinds of a transition in the long term
@energyintel Perhaps the advocacy can be substantiated with Shell's continuation of emission target instead of closing down initiatives and reducing scope.

@CGMeifangZhang Yes, there are mutual benefits to UK-China relations, but we all know they are complex, and this is an overly rosy view. It glosses over several strains especially security concerns that have impacted public perceptions and further deepened with allies involved vying for favour.
@RossMcNally6@hantschamber I agree. I have mentioned this to @Jochurchill_MP. The UK must reevaluate upskilling to stay competitive globally. Focusing on high-skilled labor boosts productivity and tax revenues more than SWAPs & low-tax-bracket apprenticeships. This is crucial for our economy. @elliereeves
@WoodMackenzie@Ed_Crooks With EU under pressure to align with protectionist policies, is there any data quantifying how much this could delay the EU's progress toward the Paris Agreement goals?

Thinking about problems that are difficult to solve may make you anxious, but not thinking about them (and hence not dealing with them) should make you more anxious still. When a problem stems from your own lack of talent or skill, most people feel shame. Get over it. I cannot emphasize this enough: Acknowledging your weaknesses is not the same as surrendering to them. It's the first step toward overcoming them. The pains you are feeling are "growing pains" that will test your character and reward you as you push through them. #principleoftheday
Though it won't feel that way at first, each and every problem you encounter is an opportunity; for that reason, it is essential that you bring them to the surface. Most people don't like to do this, especially if it exposes their own weaknesses or the weaknesses of someone they care about, but successful people know they have to. #principleoftheday
