LayerAI Mainnet is Upgrading to v2 via Hard Fork 🌐

As part of ongoing improvements and in alignment with Optimism’s latest updates, we’re upgrading the LayerAI chain to LAIv2.

Optimism is phasing out support for Custom Gas Tokens (CGT) in favor of the standard ETH gas model and Account Abstraction (AA), bringing stronger security and broader ecosystem compatibility.

The upgrade includes structural changes that affect how tokens are represented and transacted on-chain — making migration essential to maintain full functionality within the new system.

As part of this transition, users will need to migrate their LAI-ETH tokens.

All staked $LAI positions will migrate automatically — no action is needed.

If you want to move your tokens to an exchange, the recommended exchange is Gate.

A hard fork is scheduled for May 7, with a brief chain downtime expected (48–72 hours).
