This very calm, friendly girl is homeless and has ran out of time at the stray kennels so is urgently needing a rescue place. All our fosters are full at the moment so although we know it's a long shot, do we have anyone that can foster this poor girl so we can save her life??. Home needs to be adult only ideally, so no kids under 16 Yrs old as we don't have any background on her. LAIKA has been assessed in kennels and has proven to be a friendly, calm, steady girl who has shown no bad reactions to other dogs. In fact she just ignored them, she's the type of dog that doesn't want any trouble and keeps herself to herself. No cats sorry. She's in poor condition so will need to visit our rescue vet so ideally a foster home within easy driving distance of Doncaster. A secure garden is a must and an experienced dog owner that has the time and patience to help her recover from her ordeal.

Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot".

Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name.
