The mining sector has made significant strides since you took over the @MiBeMa_2022.
As industry players, we believe that this sector is in the safe hands, and it's just a matter of time before it realises its full potential.
Chapa kazi bwana Waziri.

The Kenya Mining Investment Conference and Expo 2024 is not merely an event; it stands out as a monumental milestone in our ambitious journey to position the mining sector as a cornerstone of Kenya's economic transformation.
It was a great honour to engage with such a diverse representation of stakeholders, ranging from policymakers and investors to esteemed academicians, community leaders and international partners as I officially opened the inaugural two-day conference in Nairobi today.
I am confident that this meeting will serve as a vibrant platform for rich and productive discussions, where we will explore innovative possibilities, tackle challenges head-on and forge a bold path towards a future where mining significantly contributes to Kenya’s GDP, empowers local communities and ensures the protection of our precious environment.
Today, I visited Base Titanium Limited in Kwale County on a familiarization tour where I was appraised on the current status of mining operations, plans for closure, and ongoing rehabilitation efforts on previously mined lands as part of the restoration of the ecosystem. I am confident that the intensive land-rehabilitation initiatives underway will facilitate alternative beneficial land use.
This visit also provided a platform to discuss the status of movable and immovable assets after @BaseTitanium's mining period comes to an end in December. In this regard, the Ministry plans to convene the Post Mine Land Use (PMLU) Committee to engage leaders, local communities, and other stakeholders to explore the best ways to utilize the company’s assets for the community's benefit. @MiBeMa_2022@ElijahGMwangi
