This was the most fun I've had in a long time.
I think I'll do a lot more of these.
Some things I learned:
- There are a lot of successful people out there doing $400 - $500M+++ revenue who are just quietly crushing it
- I want to bring 100+ eCom founders to HK (I think I convinced 6-7 people to move already). Life is very boring if you're not crushing it with other entrepreneurs
- @MentorPass gives me the most joy. Having a bunch of young kids that call you for advice is pretty amazing and being able to expose to $400M giants early in their journey makes a world of difference

What people think e-comm is:
- Fancy website
- List products
- Compete on price
What e-comm actually is:
- Data analytics
- Building a brand
- Market research
There’s a love and hate relationship between E com and me.
It’s a fast-moving business.
It feels like a rat race.
I don’t have days off.
But… I’m my own boss.
And I wouldn’t trade this freedom for anything.
Never skip networking.
Especially when venturing into a complex landscape like China’s.
Approach it with purpose, patience and skill.
And It’ll open doors to many big opportunities.
7) Nurture relationships
Check-in with your customer.
Make them feel like a priority.
- Keep in touch regularly.
- Offer support when needed.
- Find opportunities for collaboration.
More trust = More sales.
