Londoners first hopped on board ten years ago - and we've never looked back.
After more than one billion Hopper journeys so far, the new Weekend Hopper arrives this summer.
Pay once, travel all day 🐸
.@SadiqKhan cleaned London’s air when many said it couldn’t be done, delivered over a million free school meals, and built more council homes than at any point since the 1970s.
All things people didn’t think they’d see in their lifetime. https://t.co/yyofBANdyh
From the hundreds of families now living in new good quality council homes to the children benefitting from outstanding children’s services - you’ve helped change thousands of lives. One of the hardest-working people in politics I know ♥️
It has been an absolute privilege to serve as a Councillor for Noel Park ward for the past 12 years.
But this time it wasn’t meant to be for myself and my two colleagues Emina Ibrahim and Menha Zola Junior 1/2
Pope Leo XIV became the second Pope to carry the Cross for the entire Via Crucis on Good Friday at Rome’s Colosseum, joined by around 30,000 faithful and countless people across the world on social media, television, and radio.

Nearly a year after his election, Pope Leo XIV has made peace the defining theme of his pontificate, repeating his call for dialogue and disarmament amid escalating global conflict.

I’m often asked why I do what I do. It’s due to these two, one age 84, the other age 5.
What is good for my family is good for others too.
The personal is political ❤️
There are no words to fully express my shock and deep sadness at the sudden passing of Dr Aysha Raza - respected neuroscientist and passionate defender of the NHS, a tireless campaigner for equality - and Ealing Council’s first ever Muslim woman Cabinet Member.
Aysha was a dear and loyal friend who worked relentlessly, not only for her beloved community in Ealing, where she served as a councillor for over a decade, but for social justice everywhere. Her commitment to fairness and compassion was unwavering, and her impact will be felt for years to come.
She was a cherished daughter, sister, friend and councillor. She had an amazing sense of humour and a moral compass that made me proud to call her a friend, an adviser and an ally.
My heartfelt condolences go out to her mum, family, friends and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Just when it seems there are no words left to describe the living hell in Gaza, a new one has been added: “famine”.
This is not a mystery — it is a man-made disaster, a moral indictment and a failure of humanity itself. Famine is not only about food; it is the deliberate collapse of the systems needed for human survival. People are starving. Children are dying. And those with the duty to act are failing. As the occupying power, Israel has unequivocal obligations under international law — including the duty of ensuring food and medical supplies of the population. We cannot allow this situation to continue with impunity.
No more excuses. The time for action is not tomorrow — it is now. We need an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages and full, unfettered humanitarian access.
While the conflict between Israel & Iran has dominated headlines, we can't allow the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza to be pushed into the shadows.
The ceasefire between Iran & Israel offers hope.
And hope is more needed than ever.
It's time for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the immediate & unconditional release of all hostages, and full, safe & sustained humanitarian access.
Join #RedLineForGaza now. We’ve watched horror unfold in Gaza as red line after red line is crossed. Now an entire population could be facing erasure. If you’re outraged, act. Add your photo to our digital mosaic to send a powerful, collective message: https://t.co/443luT5rHX
Let us become pilgrims of hope! Peoples, nations, and all creatures need those who choose to move towards communion. Others will follow. Let us return to building bridges where there are now walls. Let us open doors, connect worlds, and hope will spring forth. #JubileeAudience
