@HMRCpressoffice @gurpreetnarwan I have just seen this staggering tweet from HMRC (screenshot below in case the original is withdrawn).
It is indeed HMRC's responsibility to collect the tax people legally owe. But the loan charge seeks to collect that OTHER people owed. THAT IS WHY IT IS SO OFFENSIVE.
