People are still crashing out that I wear men’s suits. I think it’s probably because I rock a suit tbh. Here’s the thing: a lot of detrans women do go towards femininity. I never will because I’ve never been that type of woman. Let me be the one who challenges stereotypes of what a woman should look like. Woman is not a “look.”
Telling me that I cannot be a masculine presenting woman is what got us into this trans mess in the first place. Leave the gender nonconforming gays alone.
@verocopyco Vague?! What a weird thing to aim for. I guess they mean curiosity-inducing - which I get. The first part of a conversation that you continue in the email. But that doesn't mean vague. Did they have any examples of what they're talking about?
@alice_rowan Last time I quoted someone a day rate it was £400 - and I was told in shocked tones 'but that's an agency rate!'. Errr, no. And it's more now 😂

This isn't an added extra or an optional step. But I'm assuming the $50 an email guy doesn't know this. If you do - and you choose to invest in copywriters and marketers who also do - then you're way ahead already.
Just spotted: "World-class direct response email copywriter wanted. $50 per email". 🤣Now, that's clearly not a viable fee (even those who aren't 'world class'). But it does highlight something interesting that many businesses don't think about...
To write copy that converts, you need to spend time on voice-of-customer research. A lot of time. You need to develop empathy for your prospects feelings and beliefs.
Ecomm brands take note: it's kinda annoying to get shipping confirmation emails from DPD or UPS that don't tell me who the parcel I'm expecting is from, and nothing from the actual brand. I ordered 3 things in 1 day - I wanna know what's coming when!
@samarowais I hardly made any of the EEBC sessions live and it wasn't a prob at all - the slack group was more than good enough for getting the live element for me :-)
