@Technicallyowen@christapeterso Yeah, just leads to a lot of trans people lying and telling doctors whatever they think the doctor needs to hear. Or getting transition drugs illegally. Down the road there's the "actually let's make being trans illegal" case, but that's too depressing to think about.
I really don't think "They do this in the middle east" is the great argument you think it is. Also, you call people criticizing you snowflakes, but you're the one who's so triggered about seeing a pride flag that they want a special option included in the game just for them.
@Jsnyder2010@RightWingCope Definitely not. I realized the outcome of the trial was going to be a load of drama no matter which way it shook out, so I just ignored it and moved on.
@Dormant2061 @RightWingCope That's still like... a really terrible comparison. And it demonstrates that when it comes to abuse of women, his default position is "The woman/women must be lying." To the point of implying a government conspiracy to falsely convict him.
Amazing how the person I replied to who was like "It's just a joke, it's not transphobia, honest, can't you take a joke," got likes *exclusively* from transphobes. Like, people with pronoun jokes in their bio and everything. I'm sure *that's* a coincidence.
@PoesMyaa @LetruneInedil Starting to loathe that strategy of "but... don't you want to protect women?" It's just so slimy and dishonest. Especially when I don't actually trust any organization that excludes trans women to even protect cis women.
@Shinmaryuu Same deal as when conservatives say "the transgenders" or "the homosexuals" or "the blacks." Suspicious lack of the word "person" in there. Calling women "females" does the same thing, dehumanizes them.
@diversedesigns_@jack_turban@CNN@Andy@andersoncooper It is though, that's exactly what you're doing. You're the kind of person who would defend someone doing blackface, aren't you? It's a joke. White people used to find it very funny, you know. They used to laugh their asses off at it. Black people were less amused.
@TheCatFromMars @AnarchOnion You know there's a time and place for sarcasm, right? Not every comment can be excused with "it's sarcasm lol, you can't get mad." The point still stands that making fun of trans/non-binary folks was more important than women's rights.
My boss was gonna ask me to work on Christmas eve. Fortunately, no one wants to come in for tutoring on Christmas eve, because of course they don't, so why bother even asking?
