At St Helen’s, every Y12 student gets involved in weekly volunteering to help our local community and build up their sense of the real world.
Here are some of our students heading off to teach phonics at one of our partner primary schools.

Welcome back, everyone.
We return to school amid more changes for the UK, and we continue to prepare our girls for the brightest of futures, whatever the future holds for them.

Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered for her resilience, loyalty, strength and dignity – qualities she embodied throughout her long reign. I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family.
The School will be remembering her extraordinary life and reign at assemblies today.
I am immensely proud that our Y11 students achieve as highly as they do. With our recent A Level success which shows what our 6th Formers can aspire to, I am so excited to see what this cohort will go on to achieve. Read more: https://t.co/zCW04PyAPl

I am so proud of what our Y13 students have achieved and of their teachers who have enabled them to fulfil their potential. These exceptional results are testament to the hard work and perseverance of the girls in exceptional circumstances. #ALevelResultsDay@GSAUK

At @StHelensSchool, our girls are encouraged to speak their minds bravely and honestly. Proud to hear our Sixth Formers entered into the spirit of debate with @Ella_M_Whelan this week! https://t.co/HimlZ7RcVz
Why speak to students about #cancelculture? And why is it so important for girls to be bold thinkers?
We sat down with @Ella_M_Whelan to discuss this topic ahead of her Sixth Form Lecture 'Are the Culture Wars Good for Us', this week.
Our nudge for learning programme now featured in @tes provides simple, attractive, social & timely boosts to girls' school progress, inspired by #nudgetheory. Excited for the next 3 years!

A constructive and positive lecture for our 6th Form students which challenged them to consider their own core values which will lie at the heart of everything they go on to achieve. https://t.co/1kskP5LIVF
How can values such as integrity and compassion help students become leaders of the future?
For our first #SixthFormLecture this term, we were honoured to welcome Olusegun Aganga, Former Minister of Finance for Nigeria, to discuss this question.

Here @StHelensSchool the girls love Physics and Maths (and get brilliant results) partly because they believe they can do anything boys can (obvs) and partly due to our fab female Heads of Dept who set such a fantastic example. @GSAUK
The government’s social mobility commissioner has been criticised by leading scientists for telling MPs that girls do not like studying physics https://t.co/VOVSze377U
Our Sixth Form Experience Day allows Prep School parents to see for themselves how fantastic our Sixth Form is, and how our girls are heading into the world with the skills and confidence to make a difference. https://t.co/1GT9zoKFXe
This morning, our formidable, bright and talented Sixth Form girls spoke to Prep School parents about how their school experience has shaped them.
We are exceptionally proud of them for showing parents where their daughters are heading in the future.
Our Sixth Form Conference held at School today explored how girls can be brave and true, be the trailblazers for the future. I challenged the girls to think about how they can lead the way in the journey towards equality and respect for all, now and in the future.
Our Maths and Engineering Masterclasses, in partnership with @Ri_Science, have added immense value to our #STEM curriculum.
As well as sharing this experience with our wider community, we’re preparing our girls for life beyond school.

Science meets well-being at our Sixth Form lecture on strategies for brain health, as well as a masterclass in Science Communication to Year 11 students. Thank you @catdl.

Brilliant initiative to encourage girls into Physics, and fantastic to see so many girls enjoying STEM.
Proud we could host neighbouring schools in our state-of-the-art STEM Centre. https://t.co/xKToAiG6AO
London schools joined forces this week for a Physics Tournament, hosted by St Helen's in our state-of-the-art STEM Centre on #IWD2022, to encourage more girls into A Level Physics.
And our winners were... @FHSSloaneSquare - well done all!
