Our A&Es are very busy this evening π¨
Whilst our staff are working hard to see people as quickly as possible, some may have a long wait.
For medical help thatβs not an emergency, https://t.co/7wFDsn0Vzr can tell you what to do next, or visit a local urgent treatment centre β¬οΈ
ππΌππΌ well done to all the Occupational Therapists across the trust, making a difference to patients Q.O.L everyday π @kerri_schOT@annact81@UHDBAHPs@UHDBTrust π
Itβs my birthday. Iβm 37 and I have some things Iβd like to share, in no particular order.
1. No one thinks about you more than you do. That thing from two years ago that keeps you up at night? No one else remembers. Honor the memory and let it go.
So nice to meet @DerbyOT@DerbyUni 3rd year students today. Great hearing about their experiences so far, we discussed what B5 OT rotations are on offer at UHDB and what makes a good application. π£ @UHDBTrust B5 OT rotation advert is live tomorrow..23rd Nov!! Don't miss out!
Well I can truly say Acute Stroke has been amazing, this 6 months has flown by and I have loved every minute! Now onto my next rotation - OT Splints π
@SuminaOt If they are MFFD usually doctors will want a discharge plan, if they are not at a level that is safe there are rehabilitation beds or if they are safe they can go home with community therapy to further progress at home. If there not MFFD rehab can continue on the ward
@SuminaOt Cont- you would go with the physio and determine their mobility/transfer method and then look at their care plan and determine the level of care they will need and what equipment is essential to prevent re-admission to hospital and that could support carer manual handling.
