Just polishing off and editing a bit of writing and wanted to share my admiration for the brilliant work of Maude Clarke. I hadn’t realised before that she died so young, what a loss.

Many thanks @RG1253! I’m currently preparing my presentation on the same subject for the @MortimerSociety at the Tower on 1 August to celebrate the anniversary - noxious potions and rope ladders at the ready…
Catching up on the excellent new volume @MortimerSociety. Special mention for @AlicePerrers's chapter on Roger Mortimer's escape from the Tower. Superb historical detective work, reconstructing Roger's feat of derring-do. I think it deserves a 700th anniversary toast on 1 August!
