There were more Palestinians victims of Israeli settler attacks in January 2026 (22 injuries) than there were Israeli Jewish victims of Palestinian attacks (7) according to Israeli defense establishment.
In a shocking account from Gaza, IDF soldiers from the Nahal Brigade committed a horrific act that defies basic human dignity. During a military operation in the Zeitoun neighborhood in May 2024, a senior officer forced an 80-year-old Palestinian man to serve as a human shield by tying an explosive cord around his neck.
The elderly man was threatened that if he made a wrong move, the cord would be pulled, decapitating him. For eight excruciating hours, he was forced to walk in front of soldiers, checking houses for potential threats. The soldiers even explained that if he didn't comply, his head would be "disconnected from his body."
After this traumatic ordeal, the soldiers ordered the elderly couple to evacuate. Tragically, when they attempted to move, another battalion spotted them and shot them dead in the street - treating them as potential threats simply because they were moving.
This isn't an isolated incident. Soldiers describe the "Mosquito Procedure" (Procedure Yatush) as a standard, albeit denied, practice of using Palestinian civilians as human shields - a method explicitly forbidden by international law and Israeli Supreme Court rulings.
The verified accounts of atrocities committed in Gaza against innocent people are continuing to come out. We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Who is Aafia Siddiqui 🇺🇸🇵🇰
Time is running out for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, the Pakistani neuroscientist whose case former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark called “the worst case of individual injustice.”
Abducted, abused, and sentenced to 86 years, her chance for justice is thinning.
Three important points for those who want to understand Syria:
1- Millions of Syrians despise Assad more than anything else because he has brutally oppressed, bombarded, gassed, imprisoned, tortured, besieged, starved, and displaced them. His crimes have left deep scars on countless lives.
2- Not everyone fighting Assad is a liberator or a force for good. The conflict is full with complexities and competing agendas.
3- Desperation has led many Syrians to choose what they see the "lesser evil." For some, this means hoping their area would fall under anyone but Assad, while others would take Assad over the radical militant groups. This stark reality shows how people are forced to prioritize survival above all else.
One of the main reasons I share these hideous videos is that Western journalists must never be allowed to say they did not really know what was happening in their name in Gaza.
