15 senators. That’s it.
Only 15 voted to stop $8.8 billion in weapons to Israel
including 35,000 2,000-lb bombs.
In the middle of a genocide.
While food, water, and medicine are being blocked from Gaza.
While bombs fall every day.
What is happening in this country?
Look up how your senator voted. If they supported more bombs, tell them:
This is not acceptable!
Elon Musk is dismantling USAID, causing suffering for people worldwide, and Republicans make jokes about this life-or-death situation.
Don't let these guys fool you. They don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and their billionaire buddies. The cruelty is the point.
Congratulations to our newest graduating class of housing inspectors! These 20 dedicated New Yorkers are joining 300+ HPD Code Inspectors, tackling 700,000+ inspections annually across the City. Thank you for choosing public service, and welcome to HPD!
At HPD, we are proud of the dedication our Code Enforcement team brings every day to ensure New Yorkers live in safe, habitable homes. Their work makes the @nycpa Worst Landlords List possible, but it’s just one part of a much larger effort 🧵
"Living by myself has been truly life-changing. I’ve never had this much space to just enjoy for myself—and I love waking up to the sunlight streaming in every morning."
The weather outside may be dreary, but inside Gabby’s apartment, the plants are thriving all year long. 🧵

From day one, this administration has focused on creating a safer, more affordable New York City. In 2024, we continued to deliver on that vision and ‘Get Stuff Done’ for working-class New Yorkers: https://t.co/6KBuUKb00v
This year, NYC had back-to-back record-breaking years for housing. We produced the most supportive homes for formerly homeless NYers, built the highest number of new affordable homes in history, and connected a record number of NYers to affordable homes through the lottery.
Our code enforcement team are the frontline force addressing every housing maintenance complaint across the city. In 2024, HPD responded to 647,000 health and safety housing complaints to ensure New Yorkers live in safe, secure homes.
From the Jewel Streets to Inwood, our Neighborhood Strategies team is advancing affordable housing projects on multiple public sites across the city, putting into motion a significant piece of the 24 in 24 plan that will ultimately create or preserve over 12,00 units of housing.
A heartfelt thank you to our passionate HPD team for their tireless efforts in tenant safety and affordable housing preservation and creation. Your commitment is changing lives, thank you for all that you do for your fellow New Yorkers.
Breaking: After arresting an Amazon driver who tried to stop his van to show support to striking workers in NYC, police are now linking arms to protect the profits of Amazon & Jeff Bezos. No picture better illustrates the police’s role is to protect and serve capital, not people.
We’re one step closer to a more affordable NYC! Yesterday, @NYCMayor signed City of Yes legislation to advance the creation of 80,000 new homes and enhance critical infrastructure across the City: https://t.co/rrEwFcZ3xG
Mott Haven shows how housing supply can lower rents:
It led NYC w/ over 2,000 new units in 2023, while median rents dropped from $1,310 to $1,020 from 2020-2022.
This former industrial area demonstrates that significant new housing construction can help reduce rental costs.
